‚ÄčThere's a reason Land Rover hasn't done a complete redesign of its Range Rover Sport since 2014, and that reason can be summed up with the saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." The 2020 Range Rover Sport, therefore, comes with all the features that have been drawing in fans of the mid-size SUV for years. It's even considered part of the second Range Rover Sport model that debuted back in 2014, albeit wrapped in a sleeker modern body. Drivers familiar with the vehicle will nevertheless notice that some of the tech and luxury features have been shuffled around between the Range Rover's different trims, though Apple CarPlay and Android connectivity now come standard on all. Performance-wise, the Range Rover Sport is surprisingly agile while performing well on both paved highways and dirt backroads. Though all trims come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, it's the different engine and powertrain options where the performance differences are really noticeable. Still impressive but at the base is a turbocharged diesel 3.0-liter V6 engine with 254 hp. There are two more powerful versions of this available, but drivers who are really looking for some fire under the hood should check out the supercharged V8 engine offered with the higher trims (coming in both 518 hp and 575 hp versions). As far as MPG goes, this vehicle gets about 22 in the city and 28 on the highway. For those looking to be more eco-friendly (and get better mileage), however, the 2020 edition also now includes a four-cylinder plug-in hybrid option.

The latest Range Rover Sports are all just as spacious, if not more so than their predecessors. But it's the interior features that really set today's Sport apart from that of several years ago. For example, there's two-zone climate control for comfort, 14-way powered seats, and a visually-impressive Touch Pro Duo screen with Interactive Driver Display. The speakers are also among the best yet that Land Rover has put in any of its vehicles, delivering an Enhanced Sound System with 8 Speakers (and even more impressively, each trim gets an upgrade from this). Most models also come with a panoramic roof (sliding on the higher trims) and ambient interior lighting.

But that's all small potatoes compared to the safety features today's Sport has to offer. Here, drivers will benefit from Front and Rear Parking Aid with Rear View Camera (a 360-degree parking camera is available on the higher trims), premium LED headlights and fog lights, Anti-Lock brakes, Traffic Sign Recognition with Adaptive Speed Limiter, and Blind Spot Recognition. Also available is Land Rover's Driver Condition Monitor, which detects (and makes adjustments / alerts as necessary) if the driver is feeling drowsy or is otherwise incapacitated.

Not counting the hybrid option (which is available with multiple trims), the 2020 Range Rover Sport is offered in five different trims: the SE, HSE, HST, HSE Dynamic, and Autobiography Dynamic. There's a slew of tech and luxury features available with each one, though the sound systems and interior comfort are significantly better on the higher-end versions (those looking for Semi-Aniline Leather Seats and three-zone climate control will have to go all the way up to the Autobiography Dynamic). Starting MSRP for a new 2020 Range Rover Sport is between $68,650 and $88,990, depending on the trim. There aren't many general financial deals out there (though individual dealerships may vary), but Land Rover is currently offering leases for $765 a month and financing at only 1.9% APR. Buyers of the hybrid version may also be eligible for a federal rebate.
